Man City’s Erling Haaland Will Most Likely Be Out Until End of January

Erling Haaland has missed Manchester City's last eight games with a foot injury, and it will take a while before she returns. Pep Guardiola recently discussed his recovery and said they miss him a lot, adding he most likely won’t be back on the pitch this month. Haaland has been recovering since suffering a foot injury in early December, putting Man City’s hopes of retaining the Premier League title in jeopardy. Guardiola was hoping their star player would return by the start of 2024, but these plans eventually fell through. Man City boss recently told the reporters that they miss Haaland a lot, adding they need him to win games, but his recovery is taking longer than expected after he got injured during the toughest part of the season. "Hopefully at the end of this month, he'll be ready. It was a little bit more than we expected in the beginning… It's the bone. It needs time. With every injury, you can do whatever you want, but it's a question of time,” Guardiola told reporters on Friday. Despite Haaland’s absence, Man City managed to return to form in the past few games, including their latest victory against Newcastle on Saturday. They’re currently second in the Premier League rankings, just two points behind Liverpool.
