Manchester City Defeat Urawa Reds to Reach Club World Cup Final

From the Championship League to the Premier League, Manchester City won countless high-profile tournaments in the past, and they’re coming for another major trophy! They’ve reached the Club World Cup final after beating Urawa Reds 3-0 on Tuesday. The Japanese club displayed defensive resilience against Man City, but they caved in the second half. Marius Hoibraten's own goal opened the scoring and gave Man City more confidence, and it was quickly followed by Mateo Kovacic’s second goal. Bernardo Silva sealed the deal just seven minutes later and gave Man City a well-deserved 3-0 win, which catapulted them to the Club World Cup final. Man City will face the South American champions Fluminense in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday for a chance to win this tournament for the very first time. Manager Pep Guardiola said that the players know how important this match is for the club, and they’ll do whatever it takes to win a title they don't have yet. “This is the last step – a title the club doesn't have, so we'll go for it. To play this final you have to have done incredible things - mainly to win the Champions League. Once we are here, maybe it is a trophy we play for once in a lifetime,” Guardiola told reporters.
