Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal Proceed to Fourth Round of French Open

Novak Djokovic and Rafel Nadal came into this year’s French Open as two of the favorites to win the title, and they’re both staying on course. The two players are building momentum at Roland Garros after both proceeding to the fourth round. Djokovic cruised to the fourth round with ease, after easily brushing aside Aljaz Bedene 6-3, 6-3, 6-2. He’s set to face the Argentinian player Diego Schwartzman in the fourth round, and he’s a clear favorite to score a win in this face-off. As for Nadal, he also didn’t have any trouble making it to the next stage of the tournament, after easing past Botic van de Zandschulp 6-3, 6-2, 6-4. He’s set to play his next match against Félix Auger-Aliassime, and their face-off will be quite intriguing because Nadal’s uncle and former coach Toni Nadal happens to be a member of the opposing team. "He's my uncle. I don't think he will be able to want me to lose, without a doubt, but he's a professional and he's with another player… I have zero problem with that. So it's not a story at all for me. I know what's the feelings that we have between each other,” said Nadal when asked about his uncle’s coaching position on Auger-Aliassime’s team. The 2022 French Open is taking place between May 22 and June 5 at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris.
