PSG Secures 10th Ligue 1 Title in a Disappointing Game Against Lens

Paris St-Germain won a record-equaling tenth Ligue 1 title with four matches to spare on Saturday night, but their latest triumph left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. Their game against Lens ended with a 1-1 draw, and fans left the stadium early to celebrate without the players. Lionel Messi's curled strike was supposed to seal the victory for PSG, but Corentin Jean scored an equalizer for Lens two minutes before the final whistle. The match ended with a draw, but that didn’t stop PSG from securing the 10th French title with four games to spare since they only needed one more point to get there. Despite their triumph, it wasn’t the joyous occasion that everyone hoped for. PSG’s relationship with fans has been strained following the club's Champions League exit, and they used this match to demonstrate their annoyance and anger. The players didn’t get to do the lap of honor in front of their fans. They left the stadium 15 minutes earlier in protest, and PSG captain Marquinhos was disappointed by their reaction. "The atmosphere is a shame. Football is our passion, we started very young. We'll try to have as much fun as possible. It's a shame that won't be with the supporters but we have to deal with it," he told Canal+.
