Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic To Play Elite Exhibition Event in Saudi Arabia

After winning over some of the leading golf and football players, Saudi Arabia is getting ready to take the tennis world by storm. The Middle Eastern country will host an elite tennis exhibition event later this year, with Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic expected to take part. Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority announced they’re hosting an event called “Six Kings Slam” later this year, with some of the world’s biggest tennis stars taking part. Unlike most exhibition events, this one won’t take place after the ATP season is over. It’s scheduled for October, when ATP season is still in full swing, with Masters 1000 tournaments in Shanghai and Paris. In addition to Nadal and Djokovic, this tournament will feature three more Grand Slam winners - Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, and Jannik Sinner. Holger Rune is the only participant without a Grand Slam trophy under his belt. Nadal agreed to take part in this tournament shortly after becoming an ambassador for the Saudi Arabian Tennis Federation last month, and he said he’s excited to play in Riyadh for the first time. The Six Kings Slam won’t be the first major tennis event taking place in Saudi Arabia - this country already hosts the season-ending Next Gen ATP Finals for the leading men's players under 21.
