Rising Star Ludvig Aberg Wins First PGA Tour Title at RSM Classic

It’s only been six months since Ludvig Aberg turned pro, but he already has one PGA Tour title under his belt! The Swedish rising star claimed his maiden PGA Tour victory in the RSM Classic and moved into the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time. Aberg was on top of his game in the RSM Classic, taking place at Saint Simons Island, Georgia over the weekend. He finished four strokes ahead of Mackenzie Hughes after shooting back-to-back rounds of 61, while also managing to tie Justin Thomas’ record with a 72-hole-score of 253. The 24-year-old Aberg was head over heels following his victory and said he has a lot of people to thank for his success. "I'm super happy. It's kind of beyond my dreams… This is what you dream of as a kid. This is the sport that I love and the sport that I'm going to love for a very long time. Watching these events from a very young age is what I've done so to see myself win is really cool,” he told the reporters. Aberg’s success is even more impressive when you consider the fact he was still at Texas Tech just six months ago, before making his professional debut in June this year. His win in the RSM Classic secured him the no. 32 world ranking and an invitation to the next year’s Masters Tournament.
