Tiger Woods’ 27-Year Partnership with Nike Comes to An End

Nike has been one of Tiger Woods’ fiercest supporters since the early days of his career, but all good things must come to an end. The record-breaking golfer announced the end of his sponsorship relationship with Nike after 27 years. Nike has been supporting Wood since he turned pro at the age of 20, and stayed by his side through many ups and downs. Woods went on to sign multiple deals with the athletic brand over the years, including a lucrative 10-year contract worth $200 million in 2013. Woods bid farewell to Nike in an emotional post on social media. He thanked the company's former CEO Phil Knight, and all the incredible Nike employees and athletes that he had the pleasure of working with over the years. “Over 27 years ago, I was fortunate to start a partnership with one of the most iconic brands in the world. The days since have been filled with so many amazing moments and memories, if I started naming them, I could go on forever,” wrote Woods on social media. The end of Wood’s partnership with Nike isn’t a huge shocker, since he hasn’t played regularly on the PGA Tour in recent years, in the wake of a 2021 car crash that left him with severe injuries.
